MEXICO CITY ART WEEK 2025
Woven Kitchen was an ephemeral exhibition during Mexico City Art Week 2025 that interlaced craft, design, and culinary creativity to explore the profound connections between Mexican traditions and contemporary innovation.

This collaboration between studio davidpompa and Contramar traced the parallelisms between the art of weaving and seafood preparation, two practices deeply connected to materiality, craft and tradition.
For this collaboration, Contramar unveiled new interpretations of its cuisine, blending its signature flavors with a contemporary perspective while remaining deeply rooted in its celebrated culinary legacy.

Woven Kitchen transformed these cultural threads into a sensory experience of sculptural lighting, experimental cuisine, and an exhibition that documented the creative dialogue behind this collaboration. It was made to highlight the beauty and relevance of these traditions in a contemporary context.
