Crafted in Barro Blanco, its warm grey white surface is shaped by earth pigments and refined through hand-polishing. Developed with 1050° and master artisans in Amatenango, Chiapas, each piece carries subtle variations from the handmade process, adding depth and character to its simple geometric form.

Barro Blanco marks the second material from 1050° to find its place within one of our classic collections.

CHIAPAS

In the highlands of Chiapas, near San Cristóbal de las Casas, agriculture and clay remain closely intertwined.

THE EARTHS FROM CHIAPAS

A natural earth-based coating gives Barro Blanco its distinctive off-white character. Made from locally sourced earth pigments, the coating is applied by hand, allowing the movement of the artisan’s brush to remain visible across the surface.

PROCESS MARKS

Each piece carries the marks of the artisan’s brush and the firing process, creating subtle variations that give the surface its own character.
